Cure for Fear and Frustration

We all experience fear and frustration at one time or another. What do we do about it? How can we move past it?

One way that works for me is to be part of a community of caring people that are supportive, and who want and need some music and harmony in their lives.

Here in Victoria I have found just such a community The Gettin’ Higher Choir. Look for a community choir in your city or town and give it a try!  You will notice how harmony and vibration give you such a psychological lift, that you will be back for more.

I want to share the lyrics of one of the songs the choir will perform this weekend at our Rich from a Journey performance because I think it has very good advice for us when we are down:

Cosmic Ragtime Lullaby by Rick Bockner

Cosmic Ragtime Lullaby by Rick Bockner

Here’s a little something that I’d like to share
Everything is different than it seems from here
We’re caught in a mirror and we can’t see out
Don’t it make you sometimes want to scream and shout

But if you pay attention and you find the cracks
You can start to walk along a different track
Out of your story and into the now.
I know you can do it and I’ll show you how.

When fear and frustration make you want cry
Sing a cosmic ragtime lullaby

There is really nothing that you have to know
There is no place special that you have to go
You can make your own life anywhere you are
Guided by the light of a distant star

Some of us must work hard and some others not
All of us must learn to work with what we’ve got
So if all of your dreams seem to pass you by
And nothing seems to work no matter how you try

When fear and frustration make you want to cry
Sing a cosmic ragtime lullaby

There is really nothing that you need to know
There is no place special that you have to go
You can make your own life anywhere you are
Guided by the light of a distant star

Some of us must work hard and some others not
All of us must learn to work with what we’ve got
So if all of your dreams seem to pass you by
And nothing seems to work no matter how you try

When fear and frustration make you want to cry
Sing a cosmic ragtime lullaby
Call on me and I’ll be standing by
With a cosmic ragtime lullaby

Call on me and I’ll be standing by
With a cosmic ragtime lullaby

In my workstyle-lifestyle coaching work I love helping solopreneurs find direction, stay motivated and build systems that both support and promote their business. One support that I like to emphasize for them is the Google experience.  Two great places to begin are my Weekly Being Your Own CEO Success Circle and The Portable Business Coach (a tool that will tell you where you need to put more time and energy)
